Ampersand set for Great Edinburgh Run to put A Smile on a Child
Ampersand members and staff are all set to run the Great Edinburgh Run on Sunday, 17th April 2016 for A Smile For a Child – a charity that aims to provide grants for disabled and disadvantaged children, to allow them to participate and progress in sport. This can be to a Club, an Organisation or to an individual child for a sports wheelchair for a disabled child, to sports equipment for a club or organisation.
Participation in sports adds real quality of life to everyone. The Charity helps to ensure those disabled or disadvantaged have an active childhood, just like any other child, by helping with some of the additional financial costs associated with adapted sport and recreation.
Donations to our justgiving page has already allowed A Smile for a Child to purchase a ski chair, which is now being used in the Cairngorms (see below)
Our team includes: Practice Manager Alan Moffat, Assistant Practice Manager Cheryl Stevens and advocates Lauren Sutherland, Fiona Drysdale and Dana Forbes.
Please help us raise much needed funds for this small Charity and put A smile on a Child. Please visit our justgiving page here or visit the A Smile for a Child website here.
