New Stable Director appointed at Ampersand Advocates
We are delighted to announce that Euan Mackenzie QC has been appointed Director of Ampersand Advocates.
Euan replaces Susanne Tanner QC who steps down at the end of her two year term in the role. Euan takes over as the set continues to move through and beyond the impact of Covid-19.
Ampersand’s Practice Manager Alan Moffat said: “We are delighted to have Euan as our new Director. I have no doubt he will be a positive influence and bring own perspective and experience to the role. We are extremely grateful to Susanne. She has been part of the Stable Management team for a number of years and leaves the post with our thanks and gratitude for her support and hard work”.
Outgoing Director Susanne Tanner QC said: “I congratulate Euan on his appointment and hope that he obtains as much satisfaction from leading Ampersand as I have done during my time as Director. The last two years have presented challenges arising from the pandemic but the Stable management, members and clerks have proved themselves to be resilient and adaptable and I know that they will continue to do so as we move forward. I extend my warmest thanks to the members of the Management Committee who have provided valuable support and positive energy: Simon Bowie QC, Laura-Anne van der Westhuizen QC, James McConnell, Giles Reid and Carla Fraser. I also give my appreciation to our head clerk, Alan Moffat and the Ampersand clerking team for their commitment and assistance to our management and members”.
Whilst incoming Director Euan Mackenzie QC said: “I look forward to serving as Stable Director and further enhancing Ampersand’s reputation for excellence in the service provided by its Advocates and clerking team”.
