Fiona Drysdale appointed to Scottish Civil Justice Council

Ampersand’s Fiona Drysdale has been appointed as the new Advocate member of the Scottish Civil Justice Council.

The appointment was formally made by the Lord President on 26 April 2023 in consultation with the Dean of Faculty.

Ms Drysdale was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 2002. She is Deputy Clerk of the Faculty of Advocates and Clerk to the Board of Examiners. She is an Advocacy Skills Instructor on the Advocates’ Training Course and has taught Civil Court Practice at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to calling to the bar, she worked as a legal translator at the Court of Justice of the European Communities and she was a solicitor with Dentons, having qualified as a solicitor in 1998. She is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh and the Université de Paris Sud.
